Meet Janie Larmour

Why I teach yoga

I have been working with physical movement all of my life, starting with gymnastics as a child, then competitive diving from the age of 12, winning State Champion at 16 and spending time at training camps at the Australian Institute of Sport, giving me a natural progression to work in fitness from the age of 22 then move toward yoga since 1999, when I did my first teacher training.
During both diving and trampolining training, I suffered several significant accidents that caused damage to my spine and I experienced constant and debilitating back pain as an adult until I found yoga. Since then, I have refined the Japanese style of yoga I originally learned with extensive modern exercise science techniques to create Zen Ki Yoga, which now helps 1000s of yogis with pain, health issues, mental health, weight loss and fertility all over the world.
